How Past Hurts Stay With Us
Every experience we have leaves an imprint. When difficult emotions from childhood are not fully processed, they are stored within the body, the nervous system and our unconscious patterns of behaviour.
Over time, these unresolved emotions may influence the way we see ourselves, relate to others and respond to life's challenges. Feelings of anxiety, overwhelm, self-doubt, emotional reactivity or emptiness can often be traced back to experiences that were never fully acknowledged or healed.
Inner Child work, and more specifially meditation, gives you an opportunity to connect with your childhood self and witness those moments of longing, heartbreak or despair. It allows you to hold your inner child in the way they needed so they can safely process and release the feelings they experienced at the time.
